My 5-year-old daughter is either already asleep, or simply too tired for the high-energy "performance" that a screen demands.

I hated that my only options were to risk waking her up with a ringing phone or to say nothing at all. I wanted a way to whisper "I love you" across the miles without needing her to hold a device or stare at a bright screen. I needed a connection that was gentle, lightweight, and always-on.

That’s how Besties was born. I created it so I could send her a physical "hug" via a heartbeat, or leave a quiet message she could find whenever she felt lonely. It’s for every parent who is working hard to provide, but still wants to be the first thing their child feels before they fall asleep.
