Do I need two Besties to start using it?

Short answer: No — you can start with just one Bestie.

💛 How does it work with one Bestie?

A single Bestie can be paired with a phone using the Besties app.

This means:

  • Your child uses the Bestie figurine
  • You (or another loved one) use the app on your phone

You can still fully connect by:

  • Pressing the Heartbeat button in your app to send a gentle “I’m thinking of you” moment
  • Pressing the Whisper button in your app to send voice messages back and forth

🧸 Should you get one or two Besties?

It depends on who’s using it on the other side.

  • Start with 1 Bestie if:
    • One side is an adult who prefers not to carry a physical Bestie
    • The adult is happy using the Besties app on their phone
    • You want a simple way to get started
  • Get 2 Besties if:
    • It’s used between two kids
    • It’s used between an adult and a child, and the adult wants a more immersive, Bestie-to-Bestie experience
    • The adult plans to keep their Bestie on a desk or at home for quick, always-available interaction

With two Besties, both sides can simply:

  • Press the Heartbeat button
  • Press the Whisper button
